Job Description -
The UST Global Oracle Retail Point of Sale (ORPOS) Production Support engineer is the core point of contact for the 24X7 application support between UST Global and the client. Production Support Engineers are associated with one or more Production Support Managers in carrying out the day-to-day application support. They provide technical solutions for significant service disruptions in association with Production Support Lead, client SMEs and other support groups.
Technical Requirements and Qualifications:
- Proficient level of understanding and experience with Oracle Retail Suite, ORPOS Module (formerly RETEK and Commerce 360).
- The candidate should have ORPOS technical expertise with good exposure and experience in production support of the Oracle RPOS module for a major retailer.
- Candidate should be capable of working in a 24x7 production support environment and have experience in large scale POS rollouts in retail environments using a global delivery model.
Additional hands on experience in the following area is also required:
a. Retail Industry Knowledge
b. ORPOS Architecture
c. Large ORPOS Rollout or Production Support Experience
d. ORPOS Best Practices
e. ORPOS Framework knowledge / Customization
f. ORPOS Data model
g. ORPOS Touring engine
Additional skills
a. Core Java
b. XML
c. JavaScript
d. Device Management and Integration (eg: CHIP& PIN, Printer, Scanner etc)
e. PL/SQL and SQ
