IT Security Analyst

Job Description

• Provide security consultation and aid support for application problems; 24x7 on call support
• Responsible for system security integrity Provide infrastructure support and troubleshooting from a security perspective
• Develop tools to continually review security of platform against Group and Local Security standards
• Provide gap analysis to Infrastructure and Application Teams for remediation recommendations
• Implement controls to prevent future gaps such as Command modification, and automated notification of findings
• To adhere to the security and compliance standards and deliver good customer service.
• Ensure positive relationships are built and maintained with all parties ensuring recommendations are made and cascaded across the team
• Flexibility to work in shifts and willingness to relocate within the GSC according to the business need
• Ensure that written responses are accurate, professional, clear and concise
• Ensure that knowledge and experience are shared with colleagues, providing assistance on referred/technical issues
• Facilitate prompt resolution of problems/assistance sought as per PLAs.

Skills Required

• Good knowledge on iseries platform,in lines of administration, coding & script writing.
• Hands on experience working with AS400 concepts like FTP, AS400 Query writing, Production jobs .
• Hands on experience in handling and configuration of native tools like Control SA(BMC) on AS400 systems,
• CL programming, Writing SQL queries on AS400 to pull the reports
• Good knowledge and experience working with Disaster management recovery experience , IBM security review tools, AS400 object authority, iSeries security standards design, Audit tools installation on AS400 systems
• Excellent technical documentation writing skills.
• Excellent Knowledge about the fundamentals of Hardware, Networking & Operations Systems like 98, NT, 2000, XP & Mainframes.
• Technical Certifications on Mainframes is an added advantage.
• Good Knowledge of User account management procedures and tools used for access provisioning.
• Good analytical skills to review understand and interpret documentation.
• High level of judgment and decision making skills
• The ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines whilst maintaining quality
• Excellent Communication skills (written and verbal) & Interpersonal skills.
• High level of analytical reasoning skills and problem solving techniques.
• Enthusiasm, drive and initiative to meet targets in a dynamic, high pressure environment and maintain high standards of internal and external customer service.
• Ability to prioritize and deliver service, to agreed service levels, within a diverse and constantly changing technical environment.
• The ability to work under pressure and to tight time-scales & enthusiasm for new technologies and change.
