Job Description


Software Engineer

Main objective of role *:
Retail New Technology - PDA/NonPDA based applications for UK.
Specific Deliverables *:
§ Play the role of software developer/Support on the retail projects
§ Coding & unit testing, unit test plan preparation
§ Ability to understand business requirements and the tech design thereof
§ Support in system integration testing & UAT as well as defect fixes
§ Timely issue escalation to the Team Lead, communicate status appropriately.
Experience *:
Essential

§ Coding and unit testing on .NET 1.0, 2.0, .NET 3.5, .NET 4.0, SQL Server 2005, good knowledge of coding standards in these areas
§ Knowledge of  ASP.NET, C#
§ Experience in working in a distributed development environment 
§ Experience of having worked on projects in the retail domain is desirable
§ Prior experience on Web Based and Applications with high transactions

Desirable
§ Prior experience on creating Windows service components
§ Prior experience with MSMQ
§ Prior experience on integration of mainframe data into windows based application would be beneficial
§ Prior experience of L3 support activities with Incident management

Qualifications:
