Job Description

Major Responsibilities 

. Design and develop Linux kernel enhancements, device drivers and hypervisor features 

• Hands on contributor towards Hyperspace networking services and Network Connection Manager 
• Contribute to working on kernel features for power management, connectivity and fast boot on x86 platforms 

• Keep up to date with the latest advancements in relevant virtualization technologies and related fields like Linux kernel, driver development and optimization etc. 

• Driver development and back porting of drivers from latest versions of kernel 
. Troubleshoot Windows Domain issues in a Virtualized enviroment 

Education and Experience Required: 

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science. 

Experience: 8-10 years 

Skills

Required Skills 

•Hands-on experience in Linux Kernel development. Building the kernel, implementing kernel modules, and debugging the kernel 

•Hands-on experience developing Linux device drivers for peripherals (video, networking, etc.) 

Experience developing, configuring, optimizing graphics related features under Linux. Past experience with Intel, Nvidia or ATI graphics drivers is a definite plus. 

Working experience with Windows System programming/debugging is a definite plus. 

Knowledge of virtualization is a plus.
